New Additions to EVER RED

As we close out the first quarter of our third year, Ever RED is excited to welcome two new members to our team.

Since inception, fostering a workplace culture that empowers and engages each team member has been essential, and we are proud to have zero turnover in our organization. Each team member has a critical role, and steps beyond their job to collaborate and give input on our development projects.

As we increase the number of ongoing projects, and expand our vision for the future of Ever RED, we identified two core areas of knowledge and productivity that will greatly enhance our team.

General Counsel

Knowledge and expertise are values we regard in high esteem. We are committed to having an in-house expert singularly focused on all projects requiring the legal lens, the majority of which are our leasing contracts.

Enter Kirby Mack LLB, MBA.  —  Kirby has joined our team to streamline and speed up one of the most time-consuming aspects of the leasing process – contract negotiations. Bringing this expertise in-house, we will accelerate decision-making, and ensure our client’s deadlines are being achieved.

As General Counsel for EVER RED, Kirby provides expert legal counsel and wisdom on a broad spectrum of matters, encompassing commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, operations, compliance and more.

A “self-confessed deal junkie”, Kirby has sound business acumen and prioritizes client-focused services and delivering responsive, high-quality advice.  His extensive experience spanning over two decades has included both in-house and private practice, and includes negotiating diverse transactions across various industries. He has held leadership positions with national retailers and a large home builder.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Kirby has volunteered his time and knowledge to a variety of causes and throughout his career, has been dedicated to making a positive impact beyond the professional realm. He enjoys cooking, music and spending time with family and friends.

Development Coordination

The second area we recognize as one of the most time-intensive in the development process is Development Coordination. In our world, this is the job specifically related to coordinating with governing bodies, contractors and consultants to solidify our project plan and gain the approvals and permits to move forward.

Enter Elliott Chan, P.Eng. — Elliott is a Professional Engineer with previous experience working for the City of Edmonton and in Engineering consulting. He has worked on a variety of new developments and improvements ranging from residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional.

He prides himself in his attention to detail and his ability to adapt quickly in the ever changing world of development. Living by the philosophy of “Leaving it better than you found it”, Elliott is passionate about minimizing negative impact and maximizing positive effect on projects he is involved with.

Elliott received his diploma in Civil Engineering Technology at NAIT before acquiring his Degree in Engineering (Civil) at Lakehead University.

During his spare time, you will find Elliott cycling in Edmonton’s River valley, which is Canada’s largest urban park.
